So let’s talk for a minute about what we consider at great boss/leader/person.  I think a boss should be someone we look up to for guidance and knowledge, someone who will support us.  It may be a rare few that think like this.  It’s just my style.

A leader is someone who in my opinion will guide you in the right direction and that will become the backbone of your success.  A leader will say let’s do this or let’s do that showing you that they too are in this with you ready to work beside you.  Also a leader is someone who inspires others.

We think of a boss as someone who just tells you what to do.  Can a boss be a leader? Basically a boss is someone who exercises control over staff.

I am writing this in appreciation to my former boss which in my opinion is the best boss that has ever stepped foot on this earth.  She was a boss and a leader.  Her guidance and knowledge was impeccable.  It wasn’t a day that went by that she didn’t give you some type of inspiration. 

She never once said you go do this or do that or why didn’t you do this like that it was always let’s see if WE can fix this or if WE can do it this way.  She was always right there by my side to the end.A true leader in my eyes!

When you have someone like that who will stand by you through thick and thin you need to cherish them because it is a very rare find.  I think God everyday for her because I wouldn’t be the person I have become today without her inspiration and guidance.

It was times when I was ready to give up because I had to deal with so many childish people but she was and is always there holding me up making me see that those people are just rocks in my path and I just need to kick them out the way.

If ever I was down or feeling bad all I had to do was walk in her office because I knew I will hear something that would turn my bad day into sunshine.  She was even there for my family and friends always giving encouraging words.

To this day she is still in my eyes my best friend, my second mother, my backbone in the business world.  Heaven sent would be the word I would use to describe her.  I can pick up the phone and all I have to do is say I need you or can we talk and she is right there.

I have a lifelong best friend in her.  A friendship that will never end!  I will be there for her forever more because I know she will be there for me just the same.  From the first day we worked together we bonded as friends and each day just continues to be a blessing.

When my grandma had her massive stroke a few years ago I remember her checking on me because she always do.  I had called to tell her what happened.  My best friend from school and as I call her my lil sister was right there with us but she came to see my grandma and my family.

The fact that you put us into your busy schedule and made the time to come visit us says it all about you.  It shows that you aren’t selfish and that you put others before yourself and for that God will keep on blessing you.

That day when Grandma had the stroke no one else from my job came to check on me or even call me.  All they wanted was for me to leave my dying grandmother to come to work.  You didn’t even work at the company I worked for anymore but you were still there.

So this is for you M. S. H. you are my idol, my hero, the one that knows me like my family does.  You are a part of our family and will always be.  My family so loves you too.  It’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do for you.  I am so grateful for you and so thankful. 

I can only say thank God for your parents for bringing such loving and caring person into this world. I have also had the honor of getting to know your sister and you too are so much alike.   Your parents raised some wonderful children and I am thankful for them.

When God gives you a good leader in the work field take it from me cherish that person they will become the foundation you will need to become successful in this world of business.  They should be someone you talk with all the time, someone you can depend on.

With a love so strong it matches what I have for God and my family it’s what I have for you M. S. H.
